1. Debjeet Sarangi

Debjeet Sarangi Living FarmsWith over 25 years of experience, Debjeet being the founder & managing trustee of Living Farms, coordinates with team members and is responsible for project implementations. Debjeet is also responsible for defining the future direction of the organization in collaboration with board members, colleagues and partnering communities based on the core values of Living Farms.

Debjeet is a post-graduate in Sociology and also trained in permaculture, ecological agriculture and nutrition. He is a fellow on Sustainability at University of California, Irvine and an expert in process facilitation.

 

2. Bichitra Biswal

A post graduate in Social work and trained in nutrition with a hands-on experience of 19 years, Bichitra Biswal leads the team on projects for re-orienting agriculture. He also works on nutrition sensitive forest management practices, community mobilization and collaboration with the government to reduce maternal and child malnutrition.

3. Jagannath Majhi

With over ten years of on-the-ground experience, Jagannath Majhi has been involved in encouraging villagers to revive the local food system. He has spent his formative years in forests with his parents before he went to a formal school. He treats forest as his teacher and mother.

4. Jagatbandhu Mohapatra

An Ayurvedic doctor with over two years of experience with a master’s in Public Health, Jagatbandhu Mohapatra, has been involved in addressing maternal and child malnutrition issues.

5. Krushna Kanhar

A young humanities graduate, Kondh youth, Krushna Kanhar leads work on mobilizing village women to conserve and regenerate forests. He focuses on creating awareness about agro-biodiversity. He also helps communities in understanding forest rights, under Indian laws.

6. Pradeep Patra

A graduate in chemistry and trained in ecological agriculture with 12 years of work experience, Pradeep Patra leads the team on reviving traditional cropping and farming systems. He's helping reorient agricultural practices to be more nutrition sensitive.

7. Prahllad Piribaka

A graduate in humanities, Prahllad Piribaka has  spent his formative years in forests with his parents before he went to formal school. A Kondh youth with over two years of experience, he's involved in reviving mixed cropping with millets.

8. B. Nigam Kumar

A fishery graduate with over two years of experience, B. Nigam Kumar has worked with village communities to develop pond based farming. He has been involved in strengthening the rural economy and help find local sources of animal protein.

9. Kamlesh K. Gupta

A post graduate in agriculture with over three years of experience, Kamlesh K. Gupta has been working with youth to push for agriculture based rural entrepreneurship to strengthen the rural economy.

10. Rupeshi Madala

A post graduate in agriculture Rupeshi Madala has been trained in nutrition with over five years of hands-on experience. She has been involved in re-orienting agriculture and forest management practices towards nutrition. She has also worked with the community and collaborated with the government to reduce maternal and child malnutrition.

11.  Jyotirmoyee Sarangi 

A post graduate in Economics, trained in community health with over 20 years of experience,  Jyotirmoyee Sarangi has been involved in documentation work for various Living Farms projects.

12.  Surekha Sharma 

A post graduate in humanities with over four years of work experience, Surekha Sharma  works with the team on  reviving traditional cropping and farming systems. She helps them  gain awareness around reorienting the agriculture to be more nutrition sensitive.

13. Ratanu Kuturka

A graduate in humanities, Kondh youth Ratanu Kuturka has had over four years of hands-on experience working with the communities. He has been involved in  reviving traditional cropping and farming systems to make them more nutrition focused.

14. Nabin Saraka

With over two years of experience and Kondh youth Nabin Saraka is a graduate in humanities. He has been involved in mobilizing the village women to regenerate and conserve forests. He's also been sharing awareness on agro-biodiversity and community forest rights according to Indian law.

15. Rabindra Kilaka

A humanities graduate with over 3 years of experience, Rabindra Kilaka is a local Kondh youth. He has been involved in  reviving traditional cropping and farming systems to reorient them towards more nutrition.

16. Kamalakanta Barik

A post graduate in social work, Kamalkanta Barik has also been trained in ecological agriculture with over 15 years of hands-on experience. He works mainly in making agricultural practices more nutrition focused by reviving traditional mixed cropping.

17. Sourav Paul

A graduate in Statistics with training in quantitative analysis, Sourav Paul has over two years of work experience. He's been working with Living Farms towards documentation of various projects.

18. Banamali Mohanty

A graduate in commerce with over 25 years of work experience, Banamali Mohanty leads the accounts team in Living Farms.

19. Nibaran Mallick

A graduate in humanities and trained in nutrition with over 6 years of work experience, Nibaran Mallick is involved in re-orienting agriculture and forest management practices to be more nutrition sensitive. He also works with the community and collaborates with the government to reduce maternal and child malnutrition.

20. Sudarshan Sahu

A graduate in humanities with training in ecological agriculture, Sudarshan Sahu has over 10 years of work experience. He works with communities in making agriculture and forest management more nutrition oriented.

21. Chita Ranjan Mohapatra

A graduate in humanities with training in ecological agriculture, Chita Ranjan Mohapatra works with communities in making agriculture and forest management practices more nutrition oriented. He has over 6 years of work experience.

22. Jaydev Majhi

A graduate in humanities with over four years of experience, Jaydev Majhi is a local Kondh youth. He is involved in making agriculture and forest management more nutrition focused. He also works with local communities and health workers to reduce child and maternal malnutrition.

23. Ganapati Nimal

A graduate in humanities and trained in ecological agriculture, Ganapati Nimal works with communities to revive traditional cropping and farming systems and making them more nutrition oriented. He has over four years of work experience.

24. Gadadhar Satapathy

For over 20 years, Gadadhar Satapathy has been involved in managing the local transportation in Living Farms.

25. K. Jagannath Rao

With over 6 years of hands-on experience, K Jagannath Rao supports office management at Living Farms.
